Pay It Forward

Funding $10,000 in Pay It Forward projects and performing random acts of kindness to make our communities, Better Together.

First Federal Bank Pays It Forward

Paying it forward is part of First Federal Bank and First Insurance Group’s1 DNA. Since 2014, we’ve donated $10,000 each year to help make an impact within our communities in OH, MI and IN, while giving $10 to each of our nearly 700 employees to perform random acts of kindness on our annual, Pay It Forward Day.

A “Pay It Forward” is a random act of kindness that spurs others to continue the cycle of giving. Paying it forward gives us ultimate satisfaction, whether it’s providing warm holiday meals, or funding young entrepreneurs to revitalize downtown or dressing up like Santa to surprise the elderly with free breakfast. We strongly believe that paying it forward can make a tremendous impact on our community, making us Better Together.

Pay It Forward Projects Funded in 2017

We asked the community to share their ideas on how to pay it forward with the help of a grant from First Federal Bank and First Insurance Group1. After reviewing nearly 150 Pay It Forward project ideas, we’ve selected a variety of projects to receive a grant up to $10,000 to help make our communities, Better Together.
