First Federal Bank Announces Officer Promotions
Defiance, OH – First Federal Bank is pleased to announce recent officer promotions elected by the board of directors.
Rodney Walton has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Senior Private Banker. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from The University of Toledo and has over 35 years of experience in the banking industry. Rod serves clients primarily in the Findlay and Fostoria markets. Rod is actively involved in his community and serves as Vice Chair and Board Member for the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, Trustee of the Findlay Country Club, Member and Past President of the Findlay Rotary Club and Member and Past Chairmen of the Findlay/Hancock County Chamber of Commerce.
Mary Alice Nagel has been promoted to Vice President, Private Banker. With over 40 years of banking experience, she is responsible for handling accounts and managing finances for individual customers at the bank. She takes pride in improving the quality of life in the community in which she lives and works. Mary Alice is currently secretary of the Zonta Club of Defiance and serves on the board for NAMI Four County, Defiance County 4-H Endowment Committee and is a Defiance County Farm Service Agency committee member. She also teaches Sunday School, is in her church choir and is involved with Tinora Athletic Boosters, Tinora Music Boosters and Tinora Academic Boosters. Mary Alice serves clients primarily in Defiance, Napoleon, Hicksville, Paulding, Bryan and Montpelier.
Dan Romick has been promoted to Vice President, Financial Advisor for First Federal Bank.Dan works with clients who focus on achieving financial goals. He specializes in retirement and financial planning, investment analysis and partnering with young professionals to help steer the course of their financial future. As a Financial Advisor, he is able to provide guidance and money management from a variety of sources. Dan earned his degree in Small Business/Entrepreneurship with a minor in Religious Studies from The University of Findlay and holds a Series 6 Securities Registration and a Life and Health Insurance License from the State of Ohio. He serves clients primarily in Hancock County.
Tim Durnell has been promoted to Vice President, Private Banker. Tim has provided banking solutions for Fort Wayne, Indiana residents for over 30 years. As a private banker, he is able to provide his clients with knowledgeable advice from his background in other financial roles including commercial lending, consumer lending, mortgage lending, branch management and private banking. He has previously held a Series 7 license and a mortgage loan originator license. Tim has served in a leadership role for many local non-profits including the Embassy Theatre, Canterbury School, Fort Wayne Leadership Forum, Greater Fort Wayne, United Hispanic Americans, Concordia Lutheran High School, Emmaus Lutheran Church and the local chapter of the Indiana University Alumni Association. Tim serves clients primarily in the greater Fort Wayne, Indiana area.
Stephanie Perez has been promoted to Vice President, Collections Department Manager. Perez has been with First Federal Bank for over 12 years and is responsible for resolving customer credit and account issues. As manager she supervises and implements First Federal Bank’s strategic objectives. She actively participates in community fundraising events, including Relay for Life.
Jason May has been promoted to Assistance Vice President, Financial Sales Manager. With nearly 10 years of industry experience, May is responsible for overseeing branch operations and offering banking solutions to retail and business customers. May is active in his community and was awarded the 2018 Young Leader of the Year award. He also serves as Member and Past Treasurer for the Lima Allen County Neighborhoods in Partnership, Committee Member for the Restore of Lima and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and Our Daily Bread. Kelly Rashley has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Financial Sales Manager. With over 30 years of banking experience, Rashley is responsible for recommending banking solutions to best fit customers’ needs while leading the retail teams at both First Federal Bank offices in Defiance. Lynette Hurtt has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Assistant Manager of Retail Loan Servicing. In her role, she manages, supervises and implements First Federal Bank’s strategic objectives for retail, mortgage lending services.
Tara Sibert has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Financial Sales Manager. With 14 years of industry experience, Sibert is responsible for overseeing branch sales operations and offering banking solutions to retail and business customers. Sibert is an active member of the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Chamber’s welcoming committee and board of directors. Traci Tucker has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Quality Control Analyst 2. With over 20 years of experience, she is responsible for supervising and implementing First Federal Bank’s strategic objectives for commercial loans. Traci is actively involved in her community as a Board Member of the Williams County Humane Society and a Graduate of the 2012 Williams County Leadership Program.
Veronica Gomez has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Human Resource Manager. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University and has 14 years of HR experience. She is responsible for all aspects of employee relations, talent acquisition and is a business partner with leaders in her market to achieve business goals. Veronica is a member of the Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association and Defiance City Schools Strategic Planning Team.
